Betty Jean Baker, 80

 

Betty Jean Baker, 80, went to be with the Lord on Monday,
April 13, 2015. She was born December 14, 1934 in Davenport, FL to the
late Earl & Lavanya Stanfield. Betty had lived most of her life in
Jacksonville, was a long time member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church,
was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of 1954 and was a
member of the Red Hat Society. She loved traveling, cooking, animals,
crafts of all kinds and being around her family and friends. Betty was a
loving mother, grandmother, great grandma, friend and will be dearly
missed by all. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Coleman Baker,
Sr. and son, Howard Coleman Baker, Jr. Survivors include her daughters,
Carlene New (Richard), Connie Leigh, Carmen Dickens (Troy); 6
grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 16 at 11am in the chapel
of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218, with Rev. Chris Coram
officiating. Interment will be by cremation. The family will receive
friends 1 hour prior to the service. 714-1110.
