Karen Marie Domin, 50

 

Karen Marie Domin has sadly passed away at the young age of
50 on Monday, July 27, 2015. She was born December 11, 1964 in
Jacksonville, FL where she resided all of her life. Marie was often
referred to as “the glue that held her family together.” She frequently
enjoyed hosting events and gatherings with her family and friends. She was
a proud member of “The Westside Baptist Church” where she was actively
involved with The Truth Seekers Class. Marie spent most of her adult life
enjoying her role as caregiver and mom to her disabled daughter, Melissa
Marie Domin.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, beloved
niece, Lisa Marie Weatherly,  Aunt Jackie, Aunt Lori, cousins Ralph,
Douggie, and Mary Joe, and family  member Earl.  Survivors include her
daughter, Melissa Domin; mother, Lorita Thigpen; father, Milton Thigpen
and his  wife Gayle, and her children, Louie, Andrea and  Amy; sisters,
April Devine, Christine Branch and Sandra Proctor; niece, Shuri Bunting;
nephews, Joseph Weatherly, Joshua Branch, James Branch, and Zachary
Proctor; very special friend, Kenny Bond;  & countless others who were of
utmost importance in her daily life. Funeral services will be held Monday,
August 3 at 2pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin
Road, 32218, with Rev. Ray Mayfield and family member and Pastor of Pines
Baptist Church, Darren Wesley officiating. Interment will follow in
Ferreira cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from
4-6pm at the funeral home, 714-1110.
