Louise “Mimi” Crosby Biddy, 92

 

Louise “Mimi” Crosby Biddy, 92, of Jacksonville, FL, was
called Home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 6, 2015. She was born
March 11, 1923 in Baxley, Georgia to the late Barry & Mattie Crosby.
Louise married her sweetheart, Clifford E. Biddy on October 5, 1940, the
only man she ever dated. She was a prominent member of her community,
owner of the Siesta Motor Court Motel and was loved by everyone that she
met. Louise was the first woman ever accepted into the Northside Business
Men’s club. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and
great-great grandmother. Louise was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Joseph
E. Gamber and Gregory A. Laster; 1 great grandchild, Matthew Ruis.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Paulette B. Laster (Samuel M.) and
Sheena B. Davis (James W.); sister, Elizabeth Crosby (Wyndell); brothers,
David Crosby (Joan) and Barry Crosby (Joan);  4 grandchildren, Angie L.
Toensing, Samuel C. Laster, Lorrie A. Woodard and Cindy C. South; 11 great
grandchildren, Brandy Foster, Ashley Barnes, Bradley Laster, Ashley
Laster, Greg Clare, Melissa Clare, Casi South, Cari South, C.J. South,
Christa South and Melody Gamber; 4 great-great grandchildren, Genesis
Gardner, MacKenzie Foster, Luna Foster and Phoenix Barnes; numerous other
family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12 at
11am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, 32218
with Pastor Michael T. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in
Ferreira cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the
funeral home beginning at 10am. 714-1110.
