Curtis Roy Bremer, 91, passed away Thursday, August 20,
2015. He was born January 10, 1924 in Jacksonville, FL to the late John &
Marion Bremer, Sr. Curtis had lived in Jacksonville most of his life, was
a WWII Veteran and served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and in
the Army Reserves. He retired in 1968 from J.E.A. and retired as a
Merchant Marine with U.S. Lines. Curtis was predeceased by 3 daughters,
Ethel, April and Barbara; son, Benjamin; granddaughter, Ashley Gray.
Survivors include his beloved soul mate and wife of 37 years, Thirza; 2
sons, David and Curtis Bremer; 7 daughters, Rebecca Nolan, Vera Sheehan,
Tina Howard, Dawn Croft, Brenda Cantrell, Lisa Hysler, Alida Cason; 22
grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,
August 26 at 4pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin
Rd 32218 with Dr. Tom Drury officiating. Interment will be by cremation.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday beginning at 3pm. 714-1110.
