Gary Lane Largin, 63


Gary Lane Largin, 63, was welcomed home by the Lord
Tuesday, September 15, 2015. He was born September 4, 1952 in Tuscaloosa,
AL to the late James & Mary Nell Largin. Gary resided in Hilliard for the
past 35 years and was a well-loved member of his community. He was a very
dedicated and loving brother, father, uncle, and grandfather. Gary was a
Seventh-Day Adventist and a man of strong faith. As a veteran of the
Vietnam War, he was very proud and honored to have served his country.
Gary was a loyal friend and best known for his joyful spirit and
willingness to help others. He was a humble man who always remained
thankful for the simple things in life. Gary leaves behind a legacy of
kindness along with countless cherished memories. Survivors include his
daughters, Shannon Largin, Gennifer Largin-Corn; granddaughter, Lydia
Corn; former wife, Suzanne Largin; sister, Regina Taylor; brother, Terry
Largin; and numerous other family and friends. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Five STAR Veterans Center, 40 Acme Street,
Jacksonville, FL 32211. Memorial services will be held Friday, October 2
at 1:30 pm in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road 32218,
with Pastor and Son-in-law, Jacob Corn officiating. Arrangements were
under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 714-1110.
