Alfred Henry Wilson, 91, passed away Saturday, May 28,
2016. He was born April 8, 1925 in Birmingham, England to the late Joseph
& Florence Wilson. Alf served in the Royal Navy during World War II and
retired from Glidden Chemical Co. He was a caring, giving, sweet loving,
hard-working man, honest and great provider, loved and adored his family
and family gatherings. Alf is predeceased by his son, Daniel Paul; 4
brothers; 2 sisters. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 66
years, Gwendoline; sons, Stephen Wilson (Sandy), Philip Wilson; daughter,
Sandra Stevens (Bennie); sisters, Doris Edwards and Jean Hemming; brother
in laws, Fred and Chris; sister in law, Pam Wilson; 9 grandchildren and 15
great grandchildren who always lovingly referred to him as Pops; numerous
other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4
at 2pm at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, 1735 Leonid Rd 32218 with
Father Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen
cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at
Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218, 714-1110. In lieu of
flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of N.E. FL.
