Lavenia Rose Boswell, 67, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016. She was born April 15, 1949 in Waycross, GA to the late Guy & Thelma Waldron Thrift. Lavenia had lived most of her life in Jacksonville, was a credited published author of 12 books that were sold internationally and was a registered nurse. She was also an artist, a real estate broker for Dan Boswell & Associates and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Dan; daughters, Angie Drury (Ted), Michelle Shaw (Andy), Christina Kasten (Kyle); stepson, Shawn Boswell (Jennifer); brother, Glenn Thrift; grandchildren, Justin Drury, Ashley Drury, Logan Drury, Heather Johnson (Stephen), Troy White, Jr, Matthew Piercy, Vivi Kasten, Lula Kasten; great grandchild, Laila Johnson; numerous other family and friends. A Mass will be held Monday, September 12 at 12pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she was a member, 601 Airport Center Dr. E. 32218, with Father Christopher Liguori officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-6pm at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218, 714-1110.
