James Alvin Rackley, Jr., 68

James Alvin Rackley, Jr., 68, went home to be
with the Lord on Saturday September 10, 2016, with his family at his
side. He was born in Wilmington, NC, to the late, James and Bertha
Croom Rackley., and has lived in Jacksonville for 40 years. He was a
member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran and served in
the U.S. States Navy. He was a graduate of Wallace Rose Hill High
School class of 1966, and attended Central Piedmont Community College
in 1968 where he earned an associate degree. His hobbies were
collecting antiques, woodworking, and he loved working outside. Jim
was a loving husband, daddy, papa, uncle, and friend and will be
dearly missed by all. Survivors include his wife of 44 years,
Lynnette; son, Justin Rackley and wife, Stacy; daughters, Jill Lettow
and husband, Brian, and Alanna Gregory and husband, Joshua;
grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Aidan Lettow, Aubree Gregory, and
Olivia Rackley; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral
services will be held on Friday September 16, at 12:30pm in the Dunns
Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Dave Malmberg officiating. Interment
will follow with military honors at Jacksonville National Cemetery at
2:30pm. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6pm
until 8pm at the church. Cedar Bay Funeral Home in charge of
