James “Jim” Donald Woodward, Sr., 87, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016. He was born December 15, 1928 in Saltville, VA to the late James & Minnie Woodward. Jim had lived most of his life in Jacksonville, was of the Assembly of God faith and was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could ask for. He was a hard worker and provided for his wife and children. His work included being plant manager at Florida Mining and doing maintenance work at Flamingo Lake RV resort. Jim was an avid gardener and his heart beat and best achievement was his family. He was predeceased by his grandson, Chad Woodward. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Winona; son, James “Jimmy” Woodward, Jr. (Jennifer); daughters, Bonnie Webb (Billy), Donna Dunning (Randy), Tammie Davis (Richard); sisters, Connie Thibault, Jeanette Pereira; grandchildren, Shelly Arnold (Kevin), Derek Webb (SueAnn), Mandy Lupu (Dan), Jamie Driggers (Adam), Jarah Radtke (Rob), Travis Horne (Amy), Natalie Villano (Dan), Crystal Wolford (Shawn), Richard Davis, Jr. (Kim), Michele Rousselle, Christina Dunning; 33 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1 at 11am at First Coast Christian Center, 2724 New Berlin Rd 32226, with Pastor Perry Fruscella officiating assisted by Adam Driggers. Interment will follow in Ferreira cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8pm at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218, 714-1110.
