Elizabeth “Beth” Erin McAllister Holton, 34, died at home Sunday, May 28, 2017 following a lengthy illness. She was born September 10, 1982 in St. Louis, MO where she grew up. Beth graduated from Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2004. She worked as an RN and nurse manager in orthopedics, neurology, and neurosurgery, most recently in the Movement Disorder Clinic at The Mayo Clinic Dept of Neurology. Beth was a beloved wife, loving mother, beloved daughter, loving sister, devoted friend and colleague. She was a talented vocalist, who lent her talents to several choirs over the years. All who knew her were blessed by her joyful and loving nature. Survivors include her husband of 13 years, David Holton; son, Luke Holton; parents, Mary Ellen McAllister and Timothy & Lisa McAllister; brothers, sisters, and in-laws, Brian & Amey McAllister, Maggie & Joe Walterbach, Rachel McAllister, Adam McAllister, Melissa & James Moore; parents-in-law, Larry & Virginia Holton; nephews and nieces, Brody, Mia and Bryce McAllister, Nate and Ryan Walterbach, Jameson Moore; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the Quinn, McAllister, Holton and Weber families; other family and friends. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 1 at 11am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, where Beth was a devoted member, 601 Airport Center Dr E 32218, with Father Christopher Liguori and Father Patrick Quinn officiating. She will be cremated and then interred at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8pm with a Rosary starting at 7pm at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218, 714-1110.
