Jean Ann Hughes Livingston, 70, passed away peacefully Sunday morning November 12th, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born December 13, 1946 in Sumter, South Carolina. Jean lived in Japan, England, Arizona and finally Florida due to her father’s service in the Air Force. Jean lived the latter part of her life on the Northside, eventually building her dream home on Lofton Creek in Yulee.
Jean was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was a faithful member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church frequently volunteering at Church functions. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, cooking, and decorating for the holidays. She also loved traveling with husband Hugh “Sonny” Livingston, and together they visited Alaska, the Grand Canyon, Europe, The Panama Canal, New Zealand and Australia.
She is predeceased by her parents Virginia and William Hughes; her brother and sister-in-law Edward & Tina Hughes. She leaves behind her husband, Hugh “Sonny” Livingston; sisters, Nancy Barnhart (William), Lynda Mierz (Frank); brother, William Hughes (Ellen); nieces, Sarah Garcia (Dr. Bryan), Kristen Hughes, Kimberly Mills (Patrick); nephews, Kevin Barnhart, Christopher Hughes, Matthew Hughes; sister in laws, Gayle Duncan, Barbara Lang; numerous other family and friends. She will also be missed by her animals, dog Missy and cat Pete.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 17th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on 5401 Dunn Ave 32218, with Pastor Bill Reister officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of N.E. FL. Arrangements are under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 714-1110.
