Teddy Lamar Harman, 57, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born December 23, 1960 in Jacksonville, FL, where he lived all of his life, to the late Richard & Dersie Harman. Teddy was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of 1978, attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville, Geiss Marine Center, a commercial fisherman for many years and was a retired member of Millwright local #2411. He also was a meritorious member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church, an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, working on old cars and boats, traveling and spending time with his family. Teddy was preceded in death by his son, Mark Harman; sister, Karen Garrett and his brothers, Gerald Shedd and Morris Shedd. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Amanda; son, Matthew Harman (Carly); daughter, Melody Harman; sisters, Reita Parker (John), Barbara Aflleje (Wayne); grandchild, Mason Harman; brother in law, Robert Huffman (Kim); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6 at 11am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218 with Pastor Perry Fruscella officiating. Interment will follow in New Berlin Road cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home, 714-1110.
