Thomas “Tommy” Lytle Whitter, Jr., 74

Thomas “Tommy” Lytle Whitter, Jr., 74, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born August 11, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL, where he lived all of his life, to the late Thomas & Cleo Whitter, Sr. Tommy was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School class of 1962, a veteran and served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was a travel agent for Sato Travel. He was of the Baptist faith, coached little league for years at San Mateo Ball Park, loved being the heart of his family and being around all of them. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judy; sons, Thomas Whitter, III (Jennifer), Robbie Whitter, Timmy Whitter (Stephanie); brothers, Robert Whitter (Jeannie), Donald Whitter (Barbara); sister, Judy Frey (Robert); grandchildren, Cameron, Thomas IV (Kayla), Deanna, Kerrigan (fiancé Cody), Brittany, Brandon, Bryan, Benjamin; great grandchild, Spinneli; a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 6 at 3pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218 with Rev. Chris Coram officiating. Interment of cremains will be held at a later date in the Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. 714-1110.
