Nicholas “Nick” Scott Lipscomb, 36, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born May 6, 1981 in League City, TX. Nick, as he was known to his family and friends, was a 1999 graduate of Forrest High School, a proud patriot who served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2005-2012 and was part of the Wounded Warriors Project. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting with friends and family and was a die-hard Gator and Jaguar fan. At the time of his death Nick was a crew leader for Pickett Marine Construction. Those who knew and loved him are saddened that he left us much too soon and will greatly miss his earthly presence, but will try to take comfort in knowing that we have all gained an angel to watch over us. Nick leaves behind the loves of his life, his heartbroken wife, Amber; 3 precious sons, Shawn, Mason, Jackson; his loving and devoted parents, mother and step-father, Donna & Donald “Duck” McDaniel; father and step-mother, David & Missy Lipscomb; sister, Melanie (Paul) Berringer; paternal grandparents, Ruby & J.D. Lipscomb; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends who will greatly miss him. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, January 17 at 11 am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218 (714-1110), with Father Ray Henderson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warriors Project.
