Charles Phillip Butler, 89

 

Charles Phillip Butler, 89, passed away on Saturday January 27, 2018, He was born in Cape Cod, Mass, and grew up in Buzzard Bay, Mass. He was the son of the late Ernest and Kathleen Butler. Mr. Butler was a Veteran and served in the US Navy during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Butler, son, Timothy “Tim” Honeycutt and sister, Jean McCorvy. Survivors include his sons, Ernest Chuck Butler, (Debbie), Charles Charley Butler, Jr., (Melanie), Hugh Honeycutt (Kathy) and Steven (Steve) Honeycutt; daughters, Linda Wells (Laverne) and Pamela (Dreme) Stubbs (Phil); Mr Butler was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His grandchildren include Trey Butler (Ashley), Amanda Speakman, (Sean) and Barbara Blalock, (Ricky) who were fortunate to be able to spend quality time with their papa during the past few months. The family wishes to thank Marty and Robin George for the years they cared for our parents and provided a helping hand. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, at 2pm, February 1st. The family will receive friends at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL., starting at 12:30 pm the day of the service and will leave for the Cemetery with a formal escort. 714-1110
