LANKFORD Pamela, 57, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018. Her last days were spent with her family at her side. She was born December 19, 1960 in Jacksonville, FL and had lived in Callahan for the past 28 years. She worked for St Vincent’s Medical Center (Riverside Hospital) for nearly 37 years and formed many lasting relationships with special friends that she worked with. Pam faced numerous health challenges for many years and she fought them with courage, faith and optimism. Her family and friends were very important to her, and she cherished every moment that she had with her grandchildren. While she will forever be deeply missed, we have the comfort of knowing that she’s in a better place and suffering no more. Pam was predeceased by her father, Harold Tanner. Survivors include her mother, Vonnie Tanner; husband of 35 years, Steve Lankford, who faithfully stood by her and supported her; son, Steve Lankford Jr. (Julianne); daughter, Ashley Taylor (Kevin); grandchildren, Sawyer and Mason Lankford, and Kasidee Taylor; sister, Lynne Collins (Floyd); sister in law, Renee Ratliff (Dan); father in law, Vernice; many more family and special friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 24 at 11am at Highlands Baptist Church, 2159 Broward Road 32218, with Dr. Art Taylor officiating. Interment will be by cremation. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 714-1110.
