Dial - Glenda “Lynda” Shelnutt Dial, age 82, went home to be with her Lord, her husband, and her sons on Saturday, February 21, 2026. She was a faithful member of Crossroads Baptist Church for more than 20 years and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #88. Lynda was past president of the Depression Glass Club of N.E. Florida, past president of the River City Singles, where she met many new friends, and she was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Lynda is survived by her children, James (Debbie) Larry Dial, Jr., Jacqueline Lori (David) Foster, and Jennifer Leigh Wellman; brother, James R. Shelnutt; and sister, Marlene Kurlin. She was also the proud grandmother of three grandsons, two granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter.

A Celebration of Lynda’s Life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, with Pastor Anthony Rister officiating. Interment will take place at the family plot in Waycross, Georgia, no graveside service. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ in Lynda’s honor.
